Celia Hevesi is seconded from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade as the International Policy Adviser to the ACMC. Ms Hevesi has worked in humanitarian response, in a media and communications capacity, as well as a disaster response management capacity. Her most recent role was managing Australia’s deployable capabilities including Australia’s medical and urban and search and rescue teams. Her disaster response experience includes Samoa tsunami/Padang earthquake (2009), Pakistan floods (2010), Typhoon Haiyan (2013) and Cyclone Pam (2015). Her deployments include: Honiara floods in 2014 and the Myanmar floods in 2015.
